Hearts Reply
Construction: 28" by 39" Acryllic on Canvas
Status: Complete
The Story:
I started this piece while recuperating from a serious fire injury. The burn covered 2/3 of my face and the uncertainty of how it would look after it healed seemed at the time, crippling. Would I ever be beautiful again? What was/is truly beautiful about me (or anyone) when we are forced to look beneath the skin? How do we share that beauty?
This painting is my hearts answer to myself, a representation of the beauty and immortality of the human spirit, and a reminder of the magic inside us all. It is my pleasure to share it. :)

Yes, I did eat a lot of mushrooms in high school, and I think I met her on a trip. She said, "I would see less gravity and more possibility if I could just shed that Mask."
